BS-MC-5X

BS-MC-5X

Optical converter for MM/SM security signals

The BS-MC-5X is an optical interface converter dedicated to the conversion of protection signals (distance and line differential, overcurrent, overvoltage, transformer differential) or controllers equipped with 820nm, 850nm or 1300nm multimode optical interfaces.

Properties and Benefits

  • Low-Rate optical signal converter dedicated to security interface conversion
  • Selection of the local interface mode for the 820/850nm wavelength version via a micro switch.

- operation in IEC103 standard
- operation in non-standard mode

  • Application:

- conversion from multimode optical fibre (820nm signal or 1310nm) to single-mode fibre (1310/1550nm)
- conversion of 820/850/1310nm signal to CWDM/DWDM wavelengths
- signal regeneration

  • Optical interfaces:

- local interface: 820/850nm ST or 1310 connector, SC connector (optionally ST, FC) speed up to 2 Mb/s
- line interface: exchangeable SFP module or built-in (MM/SM/CWDM/DWDM) with SC connector

  • LED indication of port and device status
  • Available with one or two line ports (connection protection possible)
  • Standard redundant power supply 12 ÷ 60V DC

Application

Thanks to its reliability, BS-MC-5X is used in industries such as:
