On 5 and 6 June 2024, we had the pleasure of organising a Technical Workshop for CCTV Installation Designers at the Arche Hotel in Lublin. The event, entitled "Designing CCTV architecture using BitStream products", was dedicated to specialists and designers who wanted to deepen their knowledge and gain practical skills in designing and configuring modern CCTV systems.
Training programme
The workshop started with a welcome to the participants and a short presentation of the BitStream company. The participants were then introduced to the product portfolio dedicated to CCTV systems, learning about the latest technological solutions and their practical applications in various projects.
The next session was dedicated to an overview and discussion of selected GUI tabs. After that, we discussed the principles of creating rings using the ERPS protocol and the potential risks to look out for when designing the infrastructure.
After a lunch break, participants had the opportunity to learn about our BTNET management application, which facilitates the management and monitoring of CCTV systems. The day ended with practical exercises where participants configured prepared sets of equipment, gaining valuable experience under the guidance of our experts.
The second day started with a session on cyber security, where we discussed new standards and requirements, such as NIS2 and TLS, which are key to securing CCTV systems. We then focused on time synchronisation in CCTV applications, which is key to ensuring accurate and reliable operation of surveillance systems.
The next session covered the preparation of design specifications, considering the basic requirements for CCTV systems. After a lunch break, we summarised the knowledge and skills gained and presented certificates to the participants, acknowledging their commitment and activity.
Networking and exchange of experiences
The workshop was also a great opportunity to make new contacts in the industry. During coffee breaks and shared meals, participants had the opportunity to talk to other professionals and exchange experiences and ideas. The atmosphere was friendly, which was conducive to casual conversations and making new friends.
Acknowledgements and certificates
At the end of the workshop, each participant received a certificate confirming their participation and the skills they had acquired. We are extremely grateful to all participants for their active involvement and contribution to the success of this event. Special thanks are also due to our speakers and experts who enhanced the workshop with their knowledge and experience.
What's next?
We are convinced that the knowledge and skills gained during the workshop will be invaluable in the daily work of our participants. We already have another workshop planned. This time for designers in the electricity sector. Stay tuned for our updates so you don't miss the next event!
