From 23 to 26 June 2025, we had the pleasure of participating in the annual PACWorld Conference, which this year took place at the University of Strathclyde's Centre for Technology and Innovation in Glasgow. This prestigious event once again brought together experts from around the world to share their knowledge and experience in the field of modern solutions for power systems.
The conference programme covered key topics such as:
- standardisation according to IEC 61850,
- modern protection, automation and control systems,
- critical infrastructure security,
- equipment testing and real-time simulations,
- distributed monitoring and protection system functions.
We are proud to have been one of the exhibitors. Our stand no. 2 attracted the attention of participants thanks to the Digital Substation Demo, where we presented our approach to digital power substations. The interest was high, confirming that the need for reliable and standard-compliant solutions is constantly growing.
A special moment of our presence was the presentation we gave on the morning of 24 June, entitled: ‘How to Obtain Reliable Process Bus Time Synchronisation Comply with IEC 61850’. It attracted a lot of interest and opened a discussion on the practical aspects of time synchronisation in the process bus – one of the key elements of digital substations.
The PACWorld Conference is more than just a technical exchange of information – it is a community of professionals with whom you can share ideas, experience and a passion for engineering. For us, it was a time of intense work, numerous conversations and inspiring contacts.
And although Glasgow welcomed us with typical Scottish weather, with a bit of rain and wind, the evenings spent in atmospheric pubs, conversations with engineers from different countries and moments of relaxation after a day full of technology made this trip one to remember for a long time.
We would like to thank everyone who visited our stand and we look forward to seeing you at the next edition of PACWorld!
