The company BitStream Sp. z o. o. implemented, among others delivery of industrial switches from the HYPERION-402 family for the project “Modernization of the E-20 railway line”. Hyperion-402 enables the use of the IEEE 802.1ae MACSec security protocol, which, in addition to data encryption, also has a data integrity feature that enables detection of incidents involving the introduction of false data into the network during man-in-the-middle hacker attacks. The Hyperion-402 supports Ethernet Ring Protection Switching technology compliant with the ITU-T G.8032 standard, which enables operation with transmission path redundancy with a reconfiguration time of less than 20ms with support for up to 64 rings simultaneously. In addition, the device implements STP / RSTP / MSTP protocols, which will enable the construction of secure protection architectures for connections with the server room through direct connections as well as ring systems. The delivered devices are switches working in the Ethernet L3 layer with fully encrypted SSH / Https / Radius management. The switches provide the PTPv2 protocol – for precise delay measurement, which allows to detect unauthorized access, e.g. when changing the image from the camera.
