HYPERION-500 is an industrial 10/100/1000M Ethernet switch in the modular system. The device is equipped with 8x slots, depending on the housing version, dedicated to the installation of advanced hot-swap modules that allow different configuration of RJ45, SFP connectors.

Description

Basic information

Selected features

The available Ethernet data stream transmission channel can be divided into independent transmission channels using virtual mechanisms of VLANs (802.1Q and 802.1ad) or remain transparent to the device. HYPERION-500 enables port aggregation (static or using LACP), support for QoS policy, bandwidth limitation on Ethernet ports and jumbo frame support. In addition to typical SFP 1.25 Gbps modules, HYPERION-500 switches can work with 10Gbps SFP+ optical modules. The switch is equipped with a number of QoS mechanisms. HYPERION-500 support eight traffic classes, transmission priorities for individual frames can be assigned based on port priorities, MAC addresses, VLAN ID, DSCP/ToS values and TCP/UDP port numbers. The available transmission bandwidth can be adjusted both in the direction of entry and exit for ports, as well as for individual queues (priorities).

Environmental requirements

The switch operate in the temperature range from -40 to +85°C with a minimum air flow of 0.4m/s. Operating time at the maximum temperature of +85°C is up to 16 hours.
The durable IP-30 housing ensures operation of the device in difficult conditions. The device has a housing version enabling installation in a standard 19 “1U cabinet, adapted for mounting hot-swap modules. Redundant power supply ensures stable and continuous operation in the event of failure of one of the power supplies.
HYPERION-500 supports Energy Efficient Ethernet technology (compliant with IEEE 802.3az), which significantly reduces energy consumption by optimizing energy consumption based on port traffic load and allows hibernate the electrical port if the device connected to it is not active. The switch also has power matching functions on the RJ45 port depending on the length of the UTP cable.
