Wireless 2G/3G/4G Ethernet/RS232/485/USB Router Metering Interfaces

The MAGNETAR-200 router supports access and shared use of high-bandwidth 2G, 3G and 4G LTE networks. The router supports access to devices connected locally to LAN interfaces and RS232/485 ports. It is additionally fitted with I/Os and provides advanced diagnostic functionality. The GSM port maybe used as redundant fibre optic or standalone connection. Supported routing protocols RIP, OSPF. Furthermore, the available GPS modem is particularly useful for time synchronisation using PTPv2.

Apart from Ethernet ports, the MAGNETAR-200 switch can be equipped with additional interfaces for extended functionality:

• One RS232/485 serial interface for communication with external devices via Ethernet/IP,

• One RS232 interface for connecting peripheral devices,

• Two digital I/Os for access violation detection.

The MAGNETAR-200 switch supports Ethernet Ring Protection Switching technology compatible with the ITU-T G.8032 standard, which allows transmission path redundancy with reconfiguration times under 20ms and support for up to 64 rings. Moreover, the device supports the standard protection protocols:

STP (Spanning Tree Protocol) – IEEE 802.1d,

RSTP (Rapid Spanning Tree Protocol) –IEEE802.1D-2004 compatible with legacy Spanning Tree and IEEE 802.1w,

MSTP (Multiple Spanning Tree Protocol – IEEE802.1s (802.1q), where each MSTP instance can comprise one or more VLAN networks.

The available Ethernet data stream channel can be divided into independent data links using virtual VLAN network mechanisms (802.1Q and 802.1ad) or remain transparent for the device. MAGNETAR-200 supports: port aggregation (static or LACP), QoS policy and bandwidth limitation on Ethernet ports as well as jumbo frames. Additionally, apart from typical Gigabit Ethernet SFP modules, the switch can support bitrates up to 2.5Gbps in accordance with the IEEE 802.3 standard.

The MAGNETAR-200 switch is fitted with a number of QoS mechanisms. The devices support eighttraffic classes, transmission priorities for individual frames can be assigned on the basis of portpriorities, MAC addresses, VLAN IDs, DSCP/ToS values or TCP/UDP port numbers. The available bandwidth can be adjusted for input and output for both the respective ports and individual queues (priorities). The device supports Ethernet OAM functionality (Link OAM and Service OAM) by providing advanced operating monitoring and control mechanisms (remote loops, verifying service continuity via CFM frames, collection of Ethernet statistics from remote devices).

The switch was designed to operate in temperatures from -40 to 70°C. The durable IP-30 casing ensures protection of the device in harsh working conditions. MAGNETAR-200 can be mounted on a standard DIN bus. Redundant power supply allows continued operation in case of power break-down or damage to one of the power supply sources. MAGNETAR-200 supports the Energy Efficient Ethernet technology (in accordance with IEEE802.3az), which provides a considerable power consumption reduction by adapting the power in take on the RJ45 port based on the cable length and puts the electric port in sleep mode when no active deviceis connected.

The incorporation of a HTTPS server, SSH serverand SNMPv.3 agent ensures secure configuration of the device's parameters via a standard web browseras well as continuous monitoring of faults from any management platforms supporting the SNMP protocol. Moreover, the included SMTP support allows operator notification via email if system failureis detected. Additional safety systems have also been implemented in the device.
